2017 Field Recordings Blanc de Franc Pét Nat

Suns out, sparkling Franc’s out! Initially smells like cider on the nose with notes of lemon, apple, and bread. Lemon, apple, and sourdough on the palate with a lemon and underripe peach finish. Cheers!

2016 Intrinsic Columbia Valley Red Blend

Tunnel vision into this Washington red. Blueberries, blackberries, mashed dark plums, cooked cherries, a hint of baking spices, mint, tar, cloves, and violets on the nose. Blackberries, blueberries, and cooked cherries on the palate with a nice tartness that’s surprising. After the tart notes, you get more cherries and blackberries with hints of mint, alcohol, tar, and even asphalt. Great wine for BBQ short ribs!

2017 Olga Raffault Chinon

Hangin’ loose with a classic producer’s CabFranc. You can’t go wrong with Olga Raffault wines. Raspberries, red flowers, pencil wood, and graphite. Similar on the palate. Super clean with a red fruit finish. Solid stuff. Great value. Cheers to weekend!

2015 Zorzal Eggo Franco Cabernet Franc

Yeah, I’m a good dog. Obviously. Plum, cherry, graphite, and pencil wood on the nose. Plums and cherries on the palate with a hint of metal and wood. This is a solid, albeit simple Cab Franc from Argentina!
