2017 Copain Wines Tous Ensemble Rosé
OHAI. Enjoying this Cali rosé in the waning days of summer. White strawberries, red cherries, apple skin, and red flowers on the nose. Strawberries, peaches, and cherries on the palate. Very delicious, fresh, and fruity with nice acidity. I dig it!

2013 Mark Herold Wines “Flux” Red
Happy #NationalDogDay! Honoring the most important day of the year with this California Grenache. Red and black cherries, Dr. Pepper notes, and some brown spices on the nose. Similar on the palate with loads of red and black cherries, red and black licorice, and baking spices.
Grenache (a little Syrah and Mourvèdre)
2015 Pomar Junction Vineyard Côtes de Pomar Blanc
Hehe… I’m just lounging with some Paso Robles white. Pears, apples, pineapple, cotton ball, and wax on the nose where the tropical notes really build. Tropical fruit – pineapples and guavas – on the palate with waxy and cotton-y stone notes.

2015 Lieu Dit Winery Cabernet Franc
Oh hello. Just perusing some David Hockney because that is how I do. This is a nice mix of Old World Loire style and New World Cab Franc. Blackberries, pencil wood, sapling, and forest notes on the nose. Blackberries and whole cluster berries on the palate with a hint of graphite and wood.
Santa Ynez Valley, California, USA
2015 Talbott Vineyards Logan Sleepy Hollow Vineyard Pinot Noir
Nothing can go wrong with a great pinot from an excellent producer on paw. Raspberries, violets, leather, bay leaf, button mushroom and a whiff of animal notes on the nose. Raspberries, cherries (even Kirschwasser), mushrooms, and more violets on the palate. Great for the price as a high alcohol pinot!
Monterey County, California, USA
Anybody get into Ridge wines lately? I haven’t had one for years, but always appreciate their complexity. A good winemaker, for sure.
2015 Route 101 Wines Farmageddon Cabernet Sauvignon
Feeling pretty serious with this Cali Cab. Cassis, blackberries, tobacco, and green pepper notes on the nose. Sweet cassis and blackberries on the palate with strong tannins. Tea and leather notes round out the palate as well.

2014 Sine Qua Non Lightmotif
Happy Memorial Day, everybody! Here I am trying to be as badass as those heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice. So I’m raising a glass of this AWESOME juice to all those who gave their all for the red, white, and blue. With Sine Qua Non, if you can get your paws on some, you can’t go wrong. This is made of 47% Roussanne, 21% Chardonnay, 14% Petite Manseng, 11% Viognier and 7% Marsanne that spent 19 months in a combination of concrete eggs, new French oak, neutral barrels and a tiny portion in stainless steel. And it’s DELICIOUS. Bright lemon, golden apple, green herbs, peach, pineapple, and honeycomb on the nose. Golden apples, pear, nectarine, pineapple, and peach on the palate with a dusting of white pepper. Cheers!

2015 Cattleya “Alma de Cattleya” Chardonnay
This is a fantastic Chardonnay from the girlboss winemaker at Pahlmeyer and this is one of her entry-level pricepoint wines. Floral nose of white and yellow daffodils, Meyer lemon, a hint of lime and wet stone. Meyer lemon and lime on the attack on the palate with some lemon crème mid-palate. Finishes with nice acidity and wet stone. Excellent stuff!
