2016 Illahe Vineyards Viognier
Does this angle make my butt look big? “Illahe” is Chinook for “land, earth, or soil” and this Viognier is of that special Oregon land. Peaches and apricots on the nose along with daffodils and honeysuckle. Full, unctuous mouthfeel on the palate with peaches, bananas, and apricots. Some tropical fruit notes hint at sweetness but the acidity of Meyer lemon snaps it back on the finish.
Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA
Time to break out the Viognier again. Many white wines to get into, this spring.
